Glass Flower Pot
Glass Flower pots make for a fascinating addition to one's botany. I love how these flower pots allow you to see the roots and give you a real earthy detail juxtaposed to the modern glass outline. By Yanko Design

Glow in The Dark Fibers
What you are looking at is transformative textiles, meaning there are glow in the dark fibers used giving off two patterns, one day time and one invisible until night. This pattern created by artist Kathy Schicker is stunning. Imagine it used in a restaurant club, creating a unique day and night environment. I would use it in my hallway.... Ms Schicker does amazing work glow in the dark illuminating textiles.

Decanter Lights
Need some new light treatments for your gentleman's parlor? These decanter lights are an amazing idea to style up and give any room that much needed design detail. I find lighting can be any rooms downfall, most people just don't know what to do. Which is strange since it is going to be the brightest thing, that or they chose some horrific thing from ikea. Pictured are designer, Lee Broom original pieces however one could easily rig something and use the piece to inspire a wonderful lighting idea for any room.

Ipod Speaker Dock Shelf
I have a love hate relationship with speakers. The sound has to be perfect but they need to be heard and not seen. Especially with Ipod docks they take so much room on a desk and don't even get me started about wires. This Ipod Dock solves all the problems above, however not sure about sound quality but in the $500 plus range it should sound decent. Available as well in a bevy of designer finishes.

Ms. Madonna
Did you know I am photographer? In fact I got into fashion through photography, I loved fashion photography and styling the shoots. This picture of PoP Icon Madonna is currently at auction by Phillips De Pury & Company. Taken by Mr. Herb Ritts, an amazing photographer who's works where in all the big the magazines. This particular picture is valued at $18,000- $20,000. A bit too garish for me to place in my house, but the picture is stunning and the perfect image of the subject. My favorite part is the angelic light around her arms, just draw the eye up. Not too mention those legs, those muscular horse legs wrapped in fish nets just a wonderful texture.

city of the future
This is my first post about robots and the future. I do believe robots, integrated computers and augmented reality is where public design is migrating too. This is the Santander Financial complex in Madrid. Its one of the largest banks of the world and is actually a huge sprawling complex, they call a city. The visitor center/entrance has mobile robot butlers to take you to where you may need to go if you do not know the way, since this place is so large. These things would be great in malls or even department stores. Check out the video for amazing concepts in the future of the design of public spaces.
