DJ GRANNY!

I want to dance to the tracks of DJ Granny. Not sure if that is her stage name or not but I am quite taken to her. She is 120%, I love the hair (the glasses are the best!) the look everything. Not to mention the music is pretty good. Could you imagine going out and telling your friends ya lets go to club whatever my grandma spins there she can get us in!
Her myspace page
http://www.myspace.com/ruthflowers
has a ton of video and her mixes which are really good, impressive grandma!

Denim Dreams PT 2

I just received a link from Instinct Magazine, the second part of my interview is now online on their website. This includes the photo shoot I did with the current pieces I had available. It was a fun little impromptu shoot we did down in LES of Manhattan, totally renegade style! Anyone who has ever shot anything down in NYC it's basically permit city. The biggest problem we had was people standing around watching us, thinking we where some big important shoot. New York City is funny like that, you can get a huge crowd looking at a bug on a wall. Tourists are hilarious that way! So one more time big thanks to Brigitte and Matt for coming through and helping me execute the shoot! Check out the online feature at

Cardigans and T's

Some interesting ways to kick up a cardigan. Longer arms, extended ribbing over the hands and an overall relaxed look are key details . nothing worse than high water arms. The third pic with the purple shirt doesn't do much, compared to the graphic appeal of the other 2 combo's. Interestingly enough click on the picture and the picture caption says "I turned inside out because I don't like the stencil anymore". It also looks ill fitting and very thin, notice the "high water" effect on the arm. Pictures are property of respected owners, click to see original page.

Denim Tops

Men.Style.Com did a great feature about new denim blazers from Prada. Textile mills can weave really amazing light material from denim that it looks like a super 100. Its paired great with some chinos. The most important part when pairing denim products is too never have denim on top and bottom. The knitted scarf adds some amazing texture. Work around a denim blazer or denim shirt to get a really well put together outfit. Be sure to watch this Denim blazer trend trickle down to the fast fashion stores and across other mass market stores much like the gradient dye garments Prada introduced last year.
